Mutant carrots!

Okay, so we finally picked the carrots out of our garden. We have no idea how to check if they were ready, so we just decided to pick them. We figured it had been long enough. Now, I know that these pictures are not very appetizing, but once they were cleaned up and peeled, they were really quite tasty. Some of them were not good and had already started to split, but many of them were good. They grew very short and fat because our soil is not very deep and they didn't have anywhere to go. We thought the comparison for the teeny tiny one was fun!

Way to have a garden! Who cares if they are mutant. I love it.

Wow -- those are looking pretty scary! But, as long as they tasted good -- that's all that matters.
