Isn't that a sweet face? He looks so cute and innocent, but those of you that are around Gavin know that that is not always the case. Although, he can be super sweet and lovable, he can also be mischievous. As was the case a couple of weeks ago. Gavin has to go in his room for quiet time every afternoon. Some days he actually falls asleep, but most days he reads books, colors and plays games by himself. Many times you can hear him singing little songs he has made up or primary songs. It is cute. Well, one day a couple of weeks ago I thought he had fallen asleep. It had been about 5-6 days since he had taken a nap and it was REALLY quiet in his room. After about an hour and a half, I opened the door to wake him up. Much to my disbelief and annoyance, he was not asleep, but had gotten all the markers and had colored himself in completely from the chest down. Now, I know that many of you are laughing and I laugh now - but it had not been a great day so needless to say, I did not laugh at the time. He had not just drawn on himself, but had completely colored his chest, legs, feet and arms in. He had even pulled down his pants and underwear and colored himself. His saving grace was that it was all washable and therefore very easy to clean up. I told him that he can't color himself in and his reply was "I can't?" (with the innocent face). So, now that is one more thing that is stuck up in a high place now so that he can't get to it. I did not take a picture of him because I did not want him to think that it was okay for him to do that again and you really needed the full effect and I thought it wasn't appropriate to take a picture of my almost 4 year old naked and blog it.

Oh my gosh - that is hilarious!! It's a bummer that you didn't get a picture -- but I can see why you didn't do it. I'm sure he was quite a sight!! hee hee
