Today I am grateful for my fridge!! How many times do you get into your fridge in one day? I think you would be surprised. It is not until it breaks and you can't open it until someone comes to fix it that you realize that most of your food is stored in the fridge. We woke up to a puddle of water on the kitchen floor and realized that everything in our freezer was thawed and most had to be thrown away. Luckily we have a 2nd freezer in the garage for the things we could keep. So, we called in a repairman and had to wait all day until he could get here. I was VERY tempted to go out and buy a new fridge. I have never really liked my fridge and thought this might be a good excuse to spend about $2,000 we didn't have on a new one. But, decided to hold off until we found out the damage. It was just a relay in the compressor and we were up and working in about 15 min. and not even TOO much money later. So, I am grateful that we live in a time where we can store our food in a fridge. It is so convenient and great when it works. Thank you Mr. Repairman for getting our life back in order.

awww, so no new fridge?! Come on, I know you're disappointed not to get to spend 2000 dollars on a new one! Glad it's working again . . . I'm thankful for fridges too!
p.s. today's strange word i have to type in order to publish this comment is surog. I "surog"lad your fridge is working again!!!
Can you even imagine if we had to dig holes and store food underground? We'd have to dig 3 football fields down just to catch a cold spot!
