So, I have been wanting to re-do my front room for several months now. I had the fabric all picked out for the new curtain panels, and it took me awhile to decide how I wanted to paint. Well, it is finally (mostly) complete. All the big things are done, now I just need to add some decorative touches. That will come in time, but I wanted to get pictures up finally.

I just LOVE Ikea. It is in my price range and they has some cool things. The green wall used to be a dark red. It required a gallon of primer and then 2 coats of paint to cover it. But, I love this new color. It really brightens up the room.

I also really love these fabric panels. It is fun and modern. Right now I still think this wall looks a little plain, but I have some plans to help it. :) It makes me happy to walk into this room now. It is bright and cheery. The only thing left to do is put in wood floors!! :) If only.
Jared, my dad and his friend, JD and I all painted the living room, ceiling, baseboards, and kitchen in about a day and a half. It was a ton of work, but so worth it. I had gotten a quote from a painter to do the work, but it was WAY out of my price range, so we had to do it ourselves. The best thing about painting yourself is watching the transformation and every time I walk in this room I know that I made it look good. It is a great feeling of accomplishment!
