Sabrina has been going to EMECEC for a year and a half. She has loved it there and especially has loved Me Chanda her teacher. I called an IEP meeting because I was concerned that Sabrina was not learning everything she needed to prepare her for Kindergarten. So, we had our meeting and came up with a solution. EMECEC was no longer the best place for Sabrina. She is so smart and needed a little more of a push in academics. She will be in what is called Community Ed. It is preschool through the Mesa School system. Her IEP will transfer with her. Meaning she will still get the help she needs for gross motor and adaptive skills, but she will get more academics. It is the perfect solution for her.
This is the last day of school. Enjoying her cupcake and juice.
She loved circle time. They read stories and sang songs. She was so cute to watch. We will definitely miss Ms Chanda - but I am so happy that we found a better fit for her. She is getting so big and so smart! (May 27, 2010)
