Wii Party!!

Gavin's 6th birthday in in 2 days. Today was a pretty special day for him. He was the super kid at school. I think that is a pretty cool shirt he got to wear. Jared and I brought donuts for him to share with his class. He was so excited to be special.
As usual, I didn't get my pictures in the right order. I have basically given up on that. Here Gavin is with all of his cool new toys from all of his friends.
We threw a Wii tournament party. I think it turned out pretty fun. Here is our big tournament champion - David. He won a theater box of skittles.
Here are all the players with their player badges.
Here is what all the kids got to take home.
Up close shot of their badges. Each kid was assigned a character from Mario and Luigi at the Olympic Games.
My friend made these AWESOME Wii remote cookies. She did a fabulous job!
Here is our tournament schedule of events.
Grand prize
I know this is a really sad looking cake. But, that is all I can do. I am DEFINITELY not a cake decorator. Which is why I need the Cricut cake. And definitely when you put my cake up next to the awesome cookies, it is just sad. But, what do the kids care. Cake is cake, no matter what it looks like.

Gavin is 6!! He is such a loving kid. He loves to come up to me and most anyone and just give them a hug for no reason. He tells me he loves me all the time.

He is one stubborn kid. It is a chore to get him to do his chores - unless we figure out how to make it his idea to do it.

He is great at school. Loves to learn, loves to read, loves to write and is doing great in Kindergarten.

He has started piano lessons. He loves it. Music is his thing. He loves to make up songs about whatever he is doing and whatever is going on. He loves to sing primary songs all week.

He is playing soccer now. He is really enjoying it and doing well. He played t-ball last spring and did pretty good.

His smile lights up any room and his laugh is contagious. He brings such joy and happiness to our family. We love you Gavin!! Happy Birthday!
