Parade

Happy Veteran's Day!! This year we decided to go the the parade in downtown Mesa. We rarely do anything like this with the kids. Mostly because Jared and I hate fighting crowds with the kids, but I thought we needed to do more of these things. It turned out to be a great day. Here is Jared waiting for the parade to start.
Just waiting...
There was a really cool plane that flew over the route. Some military plane - if Jared was awake (it is 4am) he could tell me the kind of plane it was, but alas, I have no clue. Let's just say the kids thought it was really cool and it flew overhead several times. I love this picture of Caleb.
Hanging out in the middle of the parade route watching the plane and just having fun.
I love that Gavin was so excited to watch the plane. After the parade, we got some lunch and had a picnic at a park. It was the perfect weather and the kids had a great time just playing at the playground. Gavin made new friends, Caleb and Jared played catch with a football and Sabrina played pretend with all the little rocking animals. I love family days like this!
