Our not-so quiet neighborhood!

Here is what happened in our neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon! The house they are talking about is 3 streets north of us! We can just be glad that there were no snipers on our roof!

Caleb's school is also in our neighborhood and was put on Lockdown for about 3 hours. It was all a little bit crazy!

"A suspected bank robber was arrested after a SWAT Team robot entered the house where he had barricaded himself for three hours.

Around 11 a.m., the suspect allegedly robbed a Compass Bank near Main Street and Greenfield in Mesa, according to Diana Tapia with the Mesa Police Department.

Tapia said a short time later, he robbed the Bank of America at Power Road and Southern Avenue.

Both times, he showed a note and demanded money but never displayed a gun.

Authorities say there were two male and two female juveniles inside an alleged getaway vehicle during the time of the robberies.

After the second robbery, police say the suspect couldn't find the getaway car so he fled on foot and ran into Leisure World. There he stole a resident's red-and-white sedan.

Police say the suspect crashed the car and bailed out of the vehicle.

He broke into a home near Slater and Gable, barricading himself inside. No one was home at the time.

Officers reportedly saw the unarmed suspect bloodied and huddled in a corner of the home through the robot camera.

Officers entered the home and arrested the suspect, who police say is in his 20s.

A Mesa detective who was looking for the suspect inside Leisure World was hit by a woman as she was backing out of her driveway.

The officer was slightly injured and air-lifted to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

At this time the suspect is not being charged with armed robbery.

All individuals are being held for questioning. "
