Storytelling Festival

I always seem to put my pictures up in the wrong order! Oh well. Yesterday my mom and I took the kids to the Mesa Storytelling Festival. It was held at the Mesa Arts Center in downtown. IT is an all day event where they have different people tell all kinds of stories. It is really fun to sit and listen to them tell stories from memory and they are so animated and really make it fun for the kids. Some of them use puppets and things throughout their story. After some of the stories you can go do crafts that go along with the story you just heard. I didn't want to take pictures of the storytellers, so I just took some of the kids making a craft. Since my pictures are in the wrong order, here is Gavin and Sabrina's finished product. I am not sure what they are supposed to be, but they are cute and the kids loved doing them.

Caleb was trying to make a lion, but the pipe cleaner didn't stick very well to the felt body. Plus, we ran out of time. We were trying to get to another story that was being told by the Child's play people. I know that they do some plays here in the valley. It was really a cute production all about the desert.

I don't know why he is making that face, but...

Eyeing that tacky glue! I can do it myself!

What a nice review of the Mesa Storytelling Festival. Thanks for bringing your family out to the valley's largest storytelling event.

As you mentioned there is such a range of offerings from stories and activities for children to family concerts to a concert of stories intended just for adults.

We hope to see you next year! Mesa is such an good location for this event.

Kind regards,
