Sabrina Qualifies...

As you know we have been trying to get Sabrina qualified for AZ Long Term Care. That would help her get the therapies she needs and many other things she needs. So, the first time she was evaluated, she did not qualify. She had to have 40 points and she scored something like 34.6. So, immediately following that news, I called them back and said I wanted her re-evaluated. That was about 3-4 months ago. Things go VERY slow when you work with the state and we had to go through the whole process again. Finally, after a lot of waiting they came out and re-evaluated her on Tuesday and just found out today that she is in!! This is such a blessing because we have not been able to give her all the therapies she needs for the last 9 months. But, with this help she will get all the therapies and more that she needs to help her overcome this disability as much as possible. I just pray that it doesn't take very long to get started in finding therapist again.

That is so exciting! I guess it pays to be persistant! Now what will you worry about?

YAY!! That is such great news!! And good for you for calling and asking to have her re-tested. Lacey just re-qualified for speech therapy, and it was such a relief! She needs it so badly so I know how you feel about it being a blessing! I hope things go smoothly (and quickly) with finding a new therapist!
