Jared gets praying mantis eggs for our garden to help with the unwanted bugs. The other day while he was mowing the lawn he found this praying mantis. Caleb thought it was awesome and carried it around for most of the day. Took it down to his friends house to show them and named him Jake.
Sabrina tried to hold it, but it kept jumping out of her hands. So, she just decided to look at it in the jar. Love this picture.

What a great idea -- praying mantis eggs! Where do you get them? My kids LOVE praying mantis!! We found a few this year in our garden, too, and just HAD to keep one in a jar for a few hours one day! How cute that your kids named him!!
