I should have posted about this a long time ago, but I just haven't gotten around to it till now.
We had a sad day in February. Sabrina turned 6 and lost the benefits of the state-sponsored care that we have been getting for her for the past few years. She is far too capable, despite a few lingering issues, to be able to qualify for the state-sponsored care. While this is a good thing (she doesn't NEED care) it is also a sad thing (the care was REALLY nice to have). The saddest part was saying good-bye to her two hab workers: Miya Crocket and Nicole Carney. Two absolutely marvelous young ladies who we all grew to love and appreciate.
Sabrina still misses them every day.
Thank you for the wonderful example and service you provided for Sabrina!
Sabrina also got an award at school. They had a "Spirit Rally" where all the kids in the school gather together and they call out the winners for each class and they go up and receive a certificate. She was incredibly delighted and was just loving the experience.
She is far too cute.
