My Hardworking Man!!

Just have to praise my husband a little bit! He is amazing! He just started another job (that makes 3). He was hired as an adjunct professor at Mesa Community College. An adjunct professor is kind of like a substitute teacher. They are hired at the last minute to fill any classes that don't have a teacher. He was hired on the Wednesday before classes started on the next Monday. He had to do all the crazy paperwork needed for a new hire and create a syllabus and come up with his first lecture all in about 4 days. He is teaching 2 classes this semester - one at MCC and one at the Red Mountain campus. The class is the same at each location - Psych 101. So, here is Jared's schedule:

Monday:

  • Work at Bank of America all day
  • Teach at MCC from 5-7

Tuesday:

  • Teach at Red Mountain from 7:30-9am
  • Work at Bank of America all day
  • Student teach (Ed. psych) at ASU from 4:30-7
  • MCC choir 7-9pm

Wednesday:

  • Work at Bank of America all day
  • Teach at MCC 5-7

Thursday:

  • Teach at Red Mountain from 7:30-9am
  • Work at Bank of America all day

During all this he has to actually prepare for his classes, find some time to hang out with me and the kids, find time to work out so his back doesn't give out on him, look for a car (since we have just one car right now. I have been staying home a lot this week! Oh well, that keeps me from spending money on things I don't need.) He is also still in school. Luckily, he doesn't have any real classes to go to. He just has to find some time to write a dissertation before the end of the school year. He is hopefully still going to graduate in May.

We hope that getting on at MCC will help in the long run to become a full-time professor there. That is the goal - to become a professor, but we don't want to have to move out of state. MCC is our only hope! Thanks for all your hard work Jared!! I hope I can give you the support that you need. I love you like a black hole!

WOW! That's an insane schedule! You might as well be bishop, Jared! Hopefully things will slow down one of these days and you guys will get to see a little bit more of each other. But good for you, Marci, for being so supportive!! You guys are crazy!!
