Tragedy

Yesterday morning we awoke to the phone ringing. It was our new bishop calling to tell us that a member of our ward had been killed the night before by a drunk driver. It is not how you want to start a day off and I just wanted to say that our thoughts are prayers are with Melisha and her family. Her husband Shane was a Phoenix policeman and was on duty responding to a call when he was struck by a drunk driver and killed. Shane was only 25 years old. I can only say that it breaks my heart. I have been debating about writing about it and decided to do so that I could expressing my love and prayers. I am grateful to know of the plan of salvation and to know that we will be together forever as families. I know that Christ not only died for our sins, but He also knows how to comfort us in times of trial. That is the only comfort I can give. You will always be in our thoughts and prayers!
