So, I have been wanting new bedding - or just ANY bedding for a LONG time now! I have looked and looked and dreamed and dreamed about what I wanted to do and what it would someday look like. Isn't that before picture just scary? I justified it because no one but me and Jared usually go in our room. Other than our kids, but I am not sure about their style/decor choices quite yet. We have not had a comforter in many a year. Jared doesn't really believe in them. He wonders why someone would make their bed every morning (with a bunch of pillows that you are not allowed to use), when he is just going to get back in the bed each night. I will have to say that it has been really nice and easy "making" our bed each day when there is just a sheet on it. In the winter we have this great blanket that is exactly the same color as the sheets. Just as a side note - don't you just love my mismatched pillowcases? I have to have 2 pillows and I think they have been in those exact pillowcases for 10 years. Just wash and reuse!!

So, I thought it was high time to get myself a comforter set. I am so in love with this one. It looks even better in person. I don't have all the pillow inserts quite yet, but there is always tommorrow! It will take a lot more work to make my bed in the morning and I will have to teach Jared how to make it and make sure he makes it. Maybe if I say the last one out of bed each day has to make the bed - he might be up before me! :) What an added bonus!

I have many other things I want to do in my room, but this was a FABULOUS start! I want to make a headboard, get new curtains and a few other things. It is starting to look like a real master bedroom instead of just a bunch of things we put in the same room!!
